Abbie is a certified birth doula who lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two children. She has been fascinated by the rites of passage of birth and parenthood for as long as she can remember, and decided to pursue doula training after navigating new parenthood at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Her mission is to educate, support, and connect her clients with the necessary care they want and need. She is continuing to explore her privilege as a white, able-bodied person and is committed to challenging the structures of white supremacy, heteronormativity, and ableism/sanism, especially in the birthing space. Her superpowers include prepping nourishing meals, reading the room, giving excellent hugs, getting anything done while baby wearing, and functioning on little sleep.
