You’re choosing a class that offers more than information. It offers insight. Practice. Integration.

Your time is precious. Make space for it.

Pour a cup of tea, light a candle, get cozy, and press play.

How birth works, including giving & receiving support

Birth is not only a physical process. It is an experience that moves through your body, your nervous system, and the relationships around you.

We explore the physiology of birth in clear, practical ways while also examining how support truly works. How to receive it, offer it, and how to stay connected when intensity rises.

You will understand what is happening in your body and why. And just as importantly, you will learn how to work with birth rather than bracing against it.

How to navigate the intensity of birth and postpartum together as a couple

Birth and early parenthood change a relationship.

We focus intentionally on partnership. You will practice communicating during labor, regulating together when things feel overwhelming, and supporting one another in the vulnerable postpartum weeks.

This preparation is not only for birth day. It is for your becoming as parents.

How to engage with your healthcare providers

Confidence in birth includes understanding how to work skillfully within the medical system when needed.

You will learn how to ask informed questions, understand your options, and how to communicate clearly with your care team.

Whether you are planning a hospital birth, birth center birth, home birth, or cesarean birth, you will leave feeling more able to engage from a place of trust in yourself.

Modern medical birth including cesareans, epidurals and other common procedures

We thoughtfully cover modern medical birth.

You will learn what common interventions are, when they are typically recommended, and how to approach them with understanding rather than fear.

If your birth includes an epidural or a cesarean, you will be supported in preparing emotionally and practically for that experience as well. Birth is not defined by one pathway.

Tips to support your postpartum healing & strategies to thrive as new parents

Birth is a threshold, not a finish line.
We explore physical healing, emotional shifts, identity changes, and the real landscape of early parenthood.

You will learn how to build support, tend to your nervous system, and care for your relationship in the postpartum season.

The goal is not perfection. It is resilience, connection, and trust in your capacity to grow through this transition.

What's covered?

This online childbirth education class explores:

  • Physiology of labor and birth
  • Working with your partner through contractions or when things get hard
  • Hormones of labor and why they matter
  • How to get the info and make decisions in the midst of labor
  • Cesarean birth
  • Hands-on support and positions for labor
  • Navigating unexpected or unwished for situations
  • Postpartum preparation
  • Metaphors to support you in the process of labor, birth
  • And much more!

What's not covered?

Lactation Support: If nursing is something you wish to do, we encourage you to take a class specifically dedicated to teaching this dynamic skill/relationship. Understanding the basics prior to birth is helpful as is developing a relationship with a lactation consultant in your area who you can reach out to after birth in the event you need more support.

Newborn Care: If you or your partner are not familiar with caring for a newborn, taking an infant care class can be a great thing to do together.

Infant CPR: Highly recommended.

How is this different from other online childbirth classes?

Most online childbirth classes focus on what to do: labor positions, pain management, and medical interventions. We cover all of that — and go much deeper.

A Holistic Approach: This course doesn't just prepare you for birth; it prepares you for the transformation of becoming a parent.

Emotional & Relational Growth: We explore how birth can strengthen your relationship — whether with a partner, family, or support team.

A Meaningful Experience: This isn't just education; it's an invitation to approach birth with presence, intention, and depth.

If you're looking for a class that simply tells you what to expect, this may not be the right fit. But if you're ready to prepare in a way that feels deeply meaningful and empowering, you've found it.

How is this different from taking an in-person class?

There are unique benefits to an online format:

Flexibility: Learn at your own pace, when and where it works for you.

Depth: With nearly 10 hours of rich content, this course offers an expansive, layered approach that most in-person classes can't match.

Personalized Experience: Revisit key lessons as often as you need, absorb information in your own way, and practice labor tools in your own home — where you'll likely use them for real.

For those who have access to an excellent in-person class, that can be a wonderful choice. And, while this course is online, it doesn't mean you'll be going through it alone. You'll have access to a private community of like-minded parents, so you can feel connected and supported throughout your preparation.

Should my partner do the classes with me, or is this class just for me?

Childbirth and childbirth classes are for BOTH of you! These classes are designed to support the birthing parent and their partner or birthing companion together.

Each person experiences birth in their own way, so preparation is important for everyone involved. You'll get the most out of the course when you watch the videos and do the practices with your partner or another person who will be part of your labor and postpartum support.

An additional benefit of the recorded format: you can also include other people who will be present during your birth journey, such as grandparents, doulas, additional partners, or close friends.

When should I do these classes?

Most parents take the course between 30 and 36 weeks of pregnancy, but you can start as early or as late as feels right for you.

As for pacing, you have flexibility: some people like to take their time and watch one class a week, while others prefer to complete it in an immersion format over a single weekend. Choose whatever fits your learning style, schedule, and personal needs.

How long will I have access to the course?

You will receive lifetime access to the online course materials.

This allows you to move through the content at your own pace and return to it as often as you need. Many parents revisit lessons before birth, during postpartum, or even in later seasons of parenting as new layers of understanding emerge.

You are not on a clock. The course is here to support you when you need it.

What is your refund policy?

If you enroll in the online course and find that it is not the right fit, you may request a refund within 30 days of purchase.

Refunds apply to the digital course only.

Any physical products, including printed materials or shipped items, are not eligible for refund.

If you have questions about your purchase, we are always happy to support you at info@brittabushnell.com. Our goal is for you to feel confident in your decision.

I've already taken another childbirth class— is it worth taking this as well?

Many parents who have taken other classes tell us this was the one that finally helped them feel truly prepared — not just in their minds, but in their hearts and bodies as well.

We go beyond the mechanics of birth to explore the emotional, relational, and even mythological aspects of this threshold moment in your life. If you're simply seeking a refresher on stages of labor and pain relief techniques, you might find you've covered those basics elsewhere.

If you want to prepare for birth and the profound transformation that comes with it, this course offers something truly unique.

We've already had a child. Are these classes still a fit for us?

Every birth is new. Every child is unique. And every time you welcome a baby, you are birthing not just them but yourself, again, as a parent.

While this course isn’t specifically geared toward experienced parents, this class offers fresh insights, meaningful preparation, and new ways to experience this transition with more depth and connection, whether this is your second baby or your fifth.

If a more personalized approach feels right for you, I also offer private sessions tailored to your unique needs.

I'm a single parent. Will the classes work for me?

Yes. While this course is designed with couples in mind, the vast majority of the content applies to all birthing parents — including those walking this path without a partner. Some activities are designed for partner practice, but most can easily be adapted for a trusted support person, or explored in ways that deepen your own self-trust and confidence.

You'll gain practical tools to navigate labor, postpartum recovery, and the profound transformation of becoming a parent — no matter who is by your side.

Birth is not something we are meant to do alone, and in this course you'll find both resources and community to support you on your journey.

I am having a planned cesarean birth—will you cover what I need to know?

Absolutely. Birth is profound, no matter how it unfolds. Whether your baby arrives vaginally or by cesarean, you're still stepping into the powerful transformation of becoming a parent.

This course isn't just about how birth happens — it's about how you experience it. We explore specific ways to prepare for cesarean birth with intention, helping you approach it with confidence and presence.

While some content (like labor physiology) may not directly apply, the vast majority of the resilience and coping practices taught throughout the course are perfect for cesarean birth and beyond. These are tools you'll need well into parenthood.

You'll gain practical support for your recovery, early parenting, and navigating the emotional aspects of your birth experience — helping you feel grounded and prepared for the journey ahead.

Are your classes mainly for people planning to birth at home?

Not at all. These classes are for anyone who understands that birth can be a transformative experience — regardless of where or how you give birth.

Parents who take this course represent the full spectrum of intended birth locations: home, birth center, and hospital. What matters isn't where you birth, but that you're prepared for the profound experience ahead of you.

Your choice of birth location is deeply personal and based on many factors, and this course will support you wherever you choose to welcome your baby.
